Some of you (probably like three people) are probably wondering why hasn’t Jess posted in so long? Well, I did actually post some photos last week, but they were from a show in April. Either way, this website has been getting stinky and old.

So, what have I been doing for the last month? Let me tell you.

>>>>BLOG: Jokes I’ve written that are really just probably terrible, but I won’t stop!

School: This semester at school has been quite a challenge in many ways. While I am only teaching online currently, I have been working very closely with my Clarion kids to get everything ready for fall semester. We have a lot to be proud of this past year.

For example, with the help of the Sinclair Foundation, I managed to get us a $10,000 discount on printing, so we are planning out eight editions for the new school year. We are also still doing our Clarion Chats podcast, but we need to get the podcast room ready, which has turned out to be a mighty undertaking.

Las Vegas: I went to his little place out west called Las Vegas. My parents celebrated 50 years of marriage in February and our family trip to commemorate the union was to Las Vegas. Anyone who knows my family knows that this is obviously the choice for us.

Also, June is the twins’ birthday, so we celebrated that. This June is the most expensive June ever. Two sister birthdays, Las Vegas trip and Father’s Day. I had to mortgage the house.

Unlike many people who have social media, I do not like to share photos of my vacations. I prefer to internalize the trip and appreciate living in the moment. I took maybe 10 photos the entire time we were all there, which I will post a couple.

>>>>PHOTOS: The last show I did at Bricky’s had some really awesome photos

Also, I did win some money. I won’t say how much though. I don’t need people coming out of the woodwork asking me for money. O wait. That already happens.

I won some money, but you won’t know how much. EVER. Unless you ask me and I’ll probably tell you.

Family: The family trip, Father’s Day and the death of my Aunt Patty also caused me to reflect on many things in my life. I love comedy, but I love other things more. This past year my family has experienced three major losses. I wanted to be focused and stay grounded in June, which I did.

But it’s July now, bitches! And as we all know, it’s my 10-year anniversary of doing comedy. I only have one show booked, which I will post about in a separate blog. But please enjoy the minimal amount of photos I took while in Vegas.
