This website is the comedy and blog page for Jessica Graue. There are 5 sections: the shows section will promote upcoming events; the diary section will contain Jessica Graue's daily happenings; the blogs section will contain focused writing on comedy and possibly satire; the media section includes photos and video of Jessica Graue; and the Dayton Can Comedy archives section will offer past articles from the beloved, but short-lived Dayton Can Comedy website.
Jessica Graue has been telling jokes since 2013 after many of her students and drunk aunts told her she was funny. Her passion for writing has led her to journalism, teaching writing and now the stage.
She has performed at comedy clubs, bars and street corners. The road has taken her to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky to perform. In 2017, she was accepted into her first comedy festival, Laugh Your Bluegrass Off. She came in 2nd to last.
For the last 4 years, she has been nominated as Best Local Comedian in the Best of Dayton poll by Dayton.com. She has never taken first place. However, she will continue to be the 2nd and 3rd best in Dayton.
She wrote a popular blog called Laugh Riot Girl for Dayton.com before branching off to create her own site called Dayton Can Comedy. She promoted shows in the Dayton area and expressed her thoughts about being a female comedian.
Studying different types of performance is her current passion. She has hosted for touring comedians at Wiley’s Comedy Club, practiced improv, acted in a web series and movie, and even hosted a cos play contest.
