The corporate donut monster and the terrible traffic
As you all know I moved to Kettering recently. While I love my new home and quiet neighborhood, I have discovered a reason I hate Kettering.
Traffic. When I try to get anywhere is this damn town it takes roughly 6.5 hours to get there. I am probably just used to living in Dayton where no one had a car, therefore no traffic. In Kettering, there are about 50 times more drivers on the road making it difficult to get anywhere.

Not only are there lots of drivers, there are tons of slow drivers. This city seems to be full of lots of little old ladies with giant cars. If you get stuck behind one, assume you will be late trying to get wherever you are going.
All this traffic is turning me into a crabby old driver who yells at everyone. I don’t want to be that person. What I mean by “that person” is my aging mother and many of my aunts and uncles.
One thing that contributes to this traffic is that god damn Dunkin Donuts on Woodman Drive. First off, Dunkin Donuts sucks. If you eat there or get coffee it will have 13 cups of sugar in it and your teeth will immediately fall out.

Secondly, the location of this awful donut chain of corporate America was not well-thought out. It’s very close to the exit where people get on the highway. The drive-thru line tends to spill into the main road. No one lets people out of the parking because fuck you guys.
What I’m saying is I have been almost late to class for the past 2 weeks. I know I just need to leave 10 minutes earlier, but that’s just ridiculous. I know I will get used to it, but for now I feel like I am allowed to complain.
And I feel that way because my taxes quadrupled when I moved to this lovely little traffic hellhole. I guess I will just Uber more!
