29: It's 2020 and I have a few plans for the next decade
It’s finally 2020. And by finally, I mean, “how in the world is it 2020?” Just 10 years ago I was getting married. Just 7 years ago I was starting a new job at Cox Media Group. Just 1 year ago I was starting a brand new job as a professor at Sinclair Community College.
While it is hard to grasp the fact that I will be 39 years old this year, I can say that this past decade has been a wild ride for me. I feel like I should actually be turning 40 this year.

After living on this planet for this long, I want to go ahead and say that my 30s were so much better than my 20s. I am hoping that in this next decade I will find that my 40s are better than my 30s. While I hope for more stability this decade, I also hope I have some firsts.
Here are a few firsts I would like to achieve this decade.
Get under 200 pounds and stay there for the rest of my life. Right now I hover around 205 and it has been driving me crazy.
I would like go further away to do comedy. I have branched out in the Midwest, but I think Las Vegas or New York City is calling my name.
I would like to start writing a book. I am not sure what about. I have been told that my life story would make a great book, so maybe a memoir.
Finally decide whether or not I want to have kids. Most people think that I would’ve figured this out by now, but it’s still a topic I am unsure of.
Lastly, and this is more of a goal for this year, I want to try to write a lot more. I need to blog more often and I need to set aside time for writing jokes.
