17: The transition from summer to fall
My summer semester has ended, which means I will be trying to relax for the next two weeks, but also preparing for fall semester. It’s the nature of the beast. Once one semester ends, the next one starts just a couple weeks later.

This year I decided to take a week off of work between semesters. I usually don’t do that, but I need ample preparation time. I am teaching three classes this fall because I love teaching and also hate having any free time ever.
I will be off work and school for a week, which is very rare for me. I plan to go see my parents and sister in Columbus, as well as spend tons of time on the couch with my babies. However, I will be spending lots of time planning my classes.

One of my favorite parts of teaching is the planning part. I have to create a schedule, daily assignments and activities. I pride myself on being unbelievably prepared for every class for the entire semester.
Another I love about planning is buying new supplies. My love for school supplies knows no bounds. Pens, notecards, folders, binders, dry erase markers and notebooks are one of my greatest summer loves.
