10: A show, funeral and grading all the essays
I am in the home stretch when it comes to classes. I have just three weeks of class left, which means I will be grading like a mofo the next couple weeks.
Last week I hosted at Wiley’s Sunday Comics. I tried some new stuff but it didn’t really work. I need to reword some things and try again. I really need to get to some open mics this summer. I typically have more time for comedy in the summer.
>>>>DIARY 9: Losing a loved one and having feelings about it
I had the opportunity to be the guest on the Womedy podcast with Adrian Miller. We had a great conversation, and some really interesting insights were discussed. I am good at talking about myself like most comedians.
My aunt’s funeral was held last week. It’s always a comfort to know how amazing of a family I have. It was a sad event, but we all made it through because we had each other. The viewing and service were beautiful, and lunch at The Spaghetti Warehouse was awesome.
I’m pretty sure my new house is going to explode into a million pieces. Every time I turn around we find something else wrong. However, I sold the East Dayton manor, so it’s a relief to only have one mortgage.
I only have one show at the end of month. It’s in Columbus, and I’m pretty sure my extended fam will be coming. I mean they better be there! This is a very random diary entry, but I guess that’s what they are supposed to be. Until next time.
