6: Getting groans is still cool

6: Getting groans is still cool

This week has been about a year long.

I performed at Katz Lounge on Tuesday, and it was one of the best Katz shows of all time. Pandy Kaufman was there and other friends. Sloth was there. What I mean by that is a dude was dressed like Sloth from The Goonies and he also had a sloth head.

I received more groans then I ever have before, and I loved it! A groan is something. I usually get nothing there. I revamped some older material and it went OK. I messed up one joke and forgot one punchline. Not too bad.

My good friend Cindy was there. I hadn’t seen her in a couple months, and she is always fun. I always look amazing in the selfies she takes. The pics Chris took of me on stage are another story.

I am in the phase of my weight loss where the top half of my body is smaller than the bottom. I have one little fat roll at the top that seemed to be eating my shirt. I also assaulted the stool on stage for whatever reasons.

We got the word that we are closing on our new house early. We get the keys Wednesday, so let the cleaning, painting and moving commence! Also, someone please buy my house. PLEASE.

This week in class I had my comedian friends talk to my students. Jesse Nutt waxed poetic with my Wright State students. This is the fourth or fifth time he has talked to my students, and I also learn something new about him.

Mike Canestaro talked to my Sinclair class. I was pleasantly surprised by all my students’ great questions. I was not surprised that 5 students showed up 10-15 minutes late. It was great both guys talked to my class at 8 a.m. My friends rock!

Until next time boys and girls.
