Starting off the year promoting comedians, famous and local

I have been a busy bee this year writing stories for dayton.com and Dayton Daily News. I am privileged to write all the comedy articles. I get to interview comedians, famous and local for all kinds of stories. So far this year, I’ve talked to some cool people.

Tom Papa

Tom Papa: This is a comedian who I didn’t know a lot about before I was given the assignment to preview his show. However, he does have a face that I’ve seen in many places. Papa is more than a comedian; he’s a serious actor and radio/podcast personality. He was delightful to talk to. Read the story here.

David Koechner

David Koechner: Everyone knows this guy. If you don’t, you’ve been living under a rock. Koechner has been in just about everything. I wasn’t sure if he’d be nice or if he’d be a jerk since he’s a pretty famous dude. He ended up being probably the nicest and most encouraging human being I’ve ever chatted with. He was in town for his stand-up show, but also for The Office Trivia. Read the story here.

Jerrel Beamon

Jerrel Beamon: On the local comedy front, I interviewed Beamon after he appeared at the Apollo in New York City. I’ve known Beamon since he started and he was a wonderful comedian to chat with. Read the story here.

Corey Mintz

Corey Mintz: This was a very heartfelt story to write. Mintz was a comedian that I came up with who died from cancer. He was shooting a movie before he died and his comedy friends rallied to finish the movie and then have a premiere at The Greene. I attended the preview and it was truly an awesome experience. >>>>SHOWS: I have some shows this spring

It truly has been a cool 2023 so far and it’s only mid-March. I’m sure I’ll be chatting with a lot more funny people in the coming months, so be sure to look out for my stories.
