What are 3 things you’ve learned about comedy.

I've learned that it takes a lot of work and practice. It can be soul-crushing. You can't be afraid to fail.

How have you lost so much weight?

I've lost weight purely by counting calories. I use an app called Lose It and I keep track of everything I eat. It's taught me to be more aware of what food I'm eating and how much. And it has gradually helped me make better choices as well. Over the last few months I've also started some light cardio.

What is your goal for your comedy career?

My goal is to never stop. I'm just going to keep going as long as I'm having fun. Hopefully I'll keep getting better and better.

If you inherited a horse farm, what would you do with it?

Find the quickest way to sell it.

What is the last thing that made you laugh until you cried?

I've been rewatching The Office and the scene where Jim has Dwight check for bed bugs is amazing.

What is the least funny joke you’ve told?

Probably too many to pick from but one that haunts me is one I did when I first started. I would lay on the stage and talk about how I couldn't reach my ass to scratch it. I can't believe no one told me to never say or do that again.

Have you ever sold anything at a pawn shop?

I have not. I find Craigslist to offer better deals when you're looking to sell something. Those people typically don't care about turning a profit like a pawn shop would.

Do you give money to panhandlers? Why or why not?

I never spent time downtown until I started doing stand-up. Once I did, that's when I met panhandlers. I used to give them a dollar here and there. One time, stupidly I showed the guy my wallet and how I didn't have any money. He could’ve robbed me! He didn't. I stopped giving them any money when I gave a guy a dollar and he said "that's it?" Whoever you are, you ruined it for the rest of them.

Do you write every day?

I at least try and tweet once a day. Usually more. But as far as sitting down and writing complete fleshed out jokes. No. I should!

When is the last time you were embarrassed?

I mumble a lot so pretty much anytime that happens and if someone can't understand what I said, I feel embarrassed.

What are your future shows?

My next major show is Thursday, July 27 at 8 p.m. It is an open mic I am running at a local bar in Kettering called Mugshots. It's going to be great. It's our second show there with me running it. I'm very excited about it.
