August is a great month to get back into being funny

Many of you might know that this summer has been a little difficult for me. From medical issues to having to say goodbye to my 17-year-old dachshund Audrey Mae West, it’s been rough. For those reasons, I’ve been on break from comedy. I just haven’t felt funny. I haven’t even posted pics from my last show in June! I really need to get on that.

But August is coming, and that tends to be one of my favorite months. Why? It means hot sweaty gross-ass summer is almost done. A new school year begins. It’s exciting to start new classes and meet new students. And in that vein, I’m happy to be part of shows that involve students. Students of comedy that is!

Thursday, Aug. 1: I have been asked to join the Comedy Class Graduation Show at the Dayton Funny Bone. I will perform with other comics and the recent grads of the Funny Bone Comedy School. I started at the Dayton Funny Bone, so this is just perfect! Our headliner will be Tim Loulies. The show starts at 7 p.m. and the doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Funny Bone’s website.

Sunday, Aug. 4: This is the exact same show as the Aug. 1 show except that it is at the Cincinnati Funny Bone. Tim did two comedy schools for each venue, so we will have another group of grads. The show starts at 6 p.m. and the doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the Cincinnati Funny Bone’s website.
