46: It's been a week of highs and lows
It’s the end of the semester and the end of the year, so I get to field emails from angry students and plan on what my diet will be for the new year. I’ve decided to eat nothing but broccoli for the entire month of January. FYI; Stay away from my butt.
I recently traveled to Columbus to have Christmas with my sister’s family from St. Louis. That went well, and my nephew Porter seems to be turning into an actual person. My other nephew Brewer is the most adorable baby I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I just want to eat him.
We also attended a party for my Uncle Jim for the whole Kienle family. My uncle was sick and ended up passing away on Dec. 7. This week we traveled to Indianapolis for his viewing and funeral mass. My uncle was an amazing person on every level. He loved his family and his amazing architecture career will remind everyone of how great he was.
While it is always sad when a family member dies, I’m always reminded about how I have the best family on the entire planet. The amount of hugs, tears and wine that we shared is unreal and it really helps even though a hug is so small. It means a lot.
Also, the dinner after the funeral mass was a German buffet, so I now know what I want when I die. Bratwurst and beer for everyone.
>>>>SHOW: Comedy at Brandeberry Winery in Enon
To end on a positive note, my show at the Brandeberry Winery on Jan. 13 is now sold out. Not that this puts an immense amount of pressure on me or anything. I’m not worried because I picked hilarious people to help make the show the best.
Happy holidays!
